1.) Services: Happy Dog Training Academy offers boarding, grooming and doggie daycare. The pet owner allows HDTA to provide these above said services for their pet (s) on an "as needed" basis in their property and via third party providers located in the Summerville, SC area.

2.) Health and vaccinations: The pet owner hereby certifies that their pet(s) is/are in good health and have not been ill with any communicable conditions in the last 30 days. Happy Dog Training Academy reserves the right to refuse any pet at check-in that appears sick injured, in pain or displays behavior that may jeopardize the health and safety of other animals or our staff. The pet owner agrees to show documentation that their pet is current on all required vaccinations - Rabies, DHpP and Bordetella. Canine influenza is not required, but highly recommended. The pet owner also understands that Happy Dog Training Academy enforces a flea-free policy. The pet owner agrees that if their pet is found to have fleas upon arrival or during their stay, Happy Dog Training Academy may provide the appropriate treatment weeded (capstar. $10) and/or give their pet(s) a flea bath at the owner's expense. The pet owner also understands that all pets staying at Happy Dog Training Academy are fully vaccinated, however, it is still possible for animals to become ill during lodging. In this event, the pet owner will be notified right away, and possibly asked to come pick up their pet. Pet owner acknowledges this is not due to any circumstance or condition at Happy Dog Training Academy and agrees to not hold Happy Dog liable in the event their pet becomes ill during or after their stay.

3.) Kennel Cough: Happy Dog Training Academy has taken every step possible to ensure a clean and safe environment for all pets, however, kennel cough (infectious Trachecoronchitis) is highly contagious, even to vaccinated pets. The pet owner understands that the kennel cough vaccine does not protect against every possible strain of the upper-respiratory disease. The incubation period of this virus can be anywhere from 3-10 days, in which a dog shows no signs of the disease, but is still contagious. unfortunately, this is usually when it is spread. The pet owner fully understands that kennel cough is an airborne virus that can be present anywhere. such as their own back yard, the dog pare, the vet's office, other kennels, etc. Although we do our very best to keep a spotless kennel, we can no more prevent the possibility of a pet contracting kennel cough than a local school can prevent a child from passing along a cold or the flu.

4.) Emergency Medical Treatment: The pet owner understands that in the unlikely event their pet becomes ill or injured while at Happy Dog Training Academy, or if their pet has a pre-existing condition which is aggravated by their stay, and requires professional attention, we will attempt to notify theme or their emergency contact at the phone numbers they have provided. Happy Dog Training Academy, at our sole discretion, may engage the services of a veterinarian clinic of our choice. In the event of an emergency, which will be at the pet owner's additional expense. The pet owner agrees to allow Happy Dog Training Academy administer any veterinarian prescribed medications to their pet if deemed necessary. If we are unable to reach the pet owner or their emergency contact is this event then Happy Dog Training Academy will make all health care decisions for the said pet based on the recommendations of available professionals. In the unfortunate event that the pet owner's animal passes away at Happy Dog Training Academy, then we will make arrangements with a local vet to keep the said pet in their facility until the pet owner returns. If said pet does parish while in the care of Happy Dog Training Academy for any reason unrelated to negligence on our behalf, then, pet owner agrees to release us from any and all liability.

5.) Natural Disaster/Emergency Evacuation : in a natural disaster or emergency evacuation, every effort will be made to contact the pet owner or their emergency contact to retrieve their pet(s). The pet owner agrees that Happy Dog Training Academy, at its sole discretion, is authorized to transport and/or make temporary alternative arrangements to house and care for all pets until the owner or emergency contact can be reached or until the pet can get picked . On the other hand, the pet owner also understands that it may not always be possible to safely evacuate their pet(s). The pet owner is aware of the risk for injury or possibly even death in the event of a natural disaster, such as a hurricane, tornado, flood, fire, etc.

6.) Group Activity /Pet Behavior: The pet owner acknowledges that while their pet is staying at Happy Dog Training Academy, the said pet will come into contact with other animals. Every effort will be made to ensure the safety of our guests, but the pet owner understands that In the event their pet is injured by another animal in our care, the pet owner releases Happy Dog Training Academy from any liability for such injury. However, if the pet owner's pet injures another animal in our care, then the pet owner agrees that they will be solely responsible for any injury to the other animal (s) as well as their own pet, they agree to cover any and all vet expenses, and they release country Happy Dog Training Academy from any liability for such injury. The pet owner agrees that if their pet becomes aggressive, destructive or acts in any manner that puts Happy Dog Training Academy and our employees in any apparent danger, we will attempt to notify them or their emergency contact to make arrangements for their pet. The pet owner is aware that any pets kenneled together are only from the same household, no exceptions. The pet owner assumes all responsibility for any aggressive behavior, fighting or injury that one pet may inflict upon another while they are together. At our discretion, Happy Dog Training Academy reserves the right to separate am pets who are boarding together if their safety is at risk. If the pet owner's animals are not compatible boarding in the same kennel then the pet owner will be billed accordingly and responsible for the cost of more than one kennel.

7.) Photos and Video Release: The pet owner allows HDTA, our representatives and employees to use their pet's name and any images or likeliness of their pet taken while staying at Happy Dog Training Academy. any form or format, for use at any time, in any media, marketing, advertising, illustration, trade or promotional material.

8.) Personal Property: The pet owner understands that Happy Dog Training Academy, our representatives and employees will not be liable or responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged personal property belonging to either the pet or the pet owner. The pet owner is also aware that their pet's collar may be removed while at our facility to prevent any possible injuries.

9) Abandonment: The pet owner agrees that if the pet is not picked up within ten (10) calendar days after the scheduled pick up date or the pet owner refuses to pay agreed upon charges, then the pet shall be deemed to be abandoned. The pet owner acknowledges that in the event their pet is considered abandoned, there will also be a re-homing fee of $500 at the expense of the pet owner. Once a pet is declared abandoned, Happy Dog Training Academy reserves the right to make any and all decisions for that said pet in regards to daily care, living arrangements, etc. Happy Dog Training Academy will thereby be the pet's new owner.

The pet owner agrees that they have read this entire agreement, they have had the opportunity to thoroughly discuss it with Happy Dog Training Academy to their complete satisfaction and they agree to its terms. NOTE: this contract will automatically apply to any and all pets acquired by said/signed owner. Intact dogs (male and female) are not allowed in group play. Females in heat are not allowed to board.
